Your child will be assessed by an experienced multidisciplinary team:
- Chartered Clinical Psychologist
- Occupational Therapist
- Assistant Psychologist
All reports are reviewed and signed off by a Senior Clinical Psychologist, ensuring clinical accuracy and credibility.
Gold-Standard Autism Assessment Tools
We use internationally recognised diagnostic tools:
- ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) – the gold-standard observational assessment
- ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised) – detailed parent interview
- Cognitive Assessment – included when clinically appropriate
These tools ensure a thorough, evidence-based diagnosis.
Our ASD Assessment Process
1. Initial Consultation
A 1-hour in-clinic consultation to determine whether a full assessment is required.
2. ADOS-2 Assessment
A structured, play-based or task-based session exploring communication, social interaction, and behaviour.
3. ADI-R Parent Interview
A 90-minute online interview focusing on your child’s developmental history.
4. Cognitive Assessment (If Required)
Provides insight into memory, attention, reasoning, and learning style.
This comprehensive approach ensures a holistic understanding of your child.
What Happens During the Assessment?
Assessments are tailored to your child’s age:
- Younger children: play-based interaction
- Older children/teens: structured tasks and discussion
We observe how your child communicates, interacts, and engages to identify indicators of autism. Parent input and school feedback are also incorporated where required.
ASD Assessment Reports
- Completed within 8–10 weeks
- Accepted by schools and the HSE

ASD Assessment Cost
- Initial Consultation: €180
- ADOS-2 Assessment: €2,000
- ASD + Cognitive Assessment: €2,500
A deposit of €150 is required. Payment plans may be available.

- 48 hours’ notice required for rescheduling
