Meghan is a Play Therapist who specializes in the Non-Directive Child Centered Approach. The child centered approach encourages children to direct their own process. Play Therapy is the language of children, and the toys are their words, which they use to share their experiences and their feelings. Play Therapy creates a safe, free, and protected space where children are given the opportunity to share their deeper emotional fears and experiences. When children share their inner selves, the play therapist is able to develop a safe and trustworthy relationship with the child. The therapeutic relationship is what provides the foundation for growth and healing. Meghan has experience working with a range of clients including those with anxiety, trauma, parental separation and conflict, aggression, bereavement and loss.
